I have never got so upset when my insurance was canceled years ago when I had to renew until this past 2 weeks. both my son and I insurance was canceled 2 weeks ago because I forgot to send in the proper paper works for them after my son was born. ( being a new mom and putting things down and forgetting about them. a lot was going on and trying to take care of my newborn and my self) but anyways I had missed the deadline and they sent me a letter telling me we no longer have insurance as of Aug 21st so I called on the 15th and the lady said that I can fax over the information so it gets to them faster. so I did that day. all my son needed was his social number. I needed proof of address and a letter saying dont work and a noncustodial form for my bf. well I thought I sent in everything . called again found. out Roman was good he had insurance. but I didn't. so I needed to send in papers that I missed which was letter saying I don't work and the signature page of the noncustodial form that I had sent in. well I sent that in on the 29th because the guy I talked to said to send right to him. and to put his name right at the top so I did. I got all upset because my son has an appointment coming up and I had to cancel therapy . which I need it.well just my luck I called to check my status on the self service on the 31st and it says im enrolled. so now we both have insurance again and I feel more relieved that that is. off my mind now.. sorry this is long. just happy and surprised that it didn't take long for them to process mine. took almost a week for Roman but only a few days for mine.
