I don't think my pill is working

I'm on week 5 of lo loestrin fe. I had my first period on it and it was great, very light for 3 days. I know on the pill you don't ovulate, but this would be my "ovulation" week. And I'm having my normal ovulation discharge that I had off the pill. Should I be concerned that I'm ovulating? I take the pill every day usually within an hour of the same time.
