IVF, anyone who's going through it??

I'm starting my IVF journey this month, please someone give me some advice and confidence, I feel so excited and so scared too :( xxx

Just breathe. It can be overwhelming and cause a lot of stress (it did for me). We were successful with our second IVF.  But we had some of our toughest days going through it. Lean on your partner and be honest with your emotions. I kept a lot of it to myself to spare my husband and I started to feel like I was going through it all alone. Best of luck!

I started Day 1 of my stims yesterday. The hardest part for me so far has been the overwhelming feeling. It's a lot of information to process so take notes or video at your ivf class for how to do your meds (I had notes given to me by wish I recorded the nurse showing how to mix the three different meds). Organize your meds and that will make it less overwhelming. I bought a journal to record my inventory in so I know when I get low and need to order more. I also plan on recording my journey in it. I have noticed a few hours after my injection these past two days I get a slight headache but otherwise I feel the same. Good luck on your journey.

It's going going to be a lot of information to take in, lots of blood work and ultrasounds to see how you are progressing. The process can feel very overwhelming at times. However with that being said, you are one step closer to your goal of achieving a pregnancy. I would recommend getting some sort of organizer to get your meds in order. Some will have to stay refrigerated. Set reminders on your phone of when to take meds. Give yourself time to rest and relax. Your body will be going through a lot. Stay hydrated! Try not to google every step of process or you will drive yourself crazy! 😂. Good luck and keep us updated about your process. We are here to support you 😊

I'm triggering tonight after 10 days if stims and retrieval is on Tuesday 9/13.  I'm so glad this is the last shot.  Was getting sick of them.

I am in my first round of ivf and have my retrieval tomorrow morning. It's a lot of information and can be overwhelming. Try to find something that helps you relax. I like a hot bath after my injections for 10-15 min to relax a bit. You can do it and even though it is hard, it'll be worth it in the end to hold that little one!

Hi Zoe, you are not alone 😊. This forum offers support and collectively had knowledge of all protocols and procedures 😄.
I see you are based in the UK. So am I. I had three goes and currently waiting for results of the last go.
The initial injection can be scary but you get use to it very quickly. I tend to do them myself and than just have a 15 min 'me' time to relax. 
I use apps to tract my meds and doses. There are a few comprehensive once. Good to take notes and prep in advance for your consultations with consultant - ask as many questions as you like.
