Empty sac?

Question

Had my first prenatal appointment at 7 weeks today. NP could not find a baby within the gestational sac. She measured something above it, but couldn't get a clear picture. They are taking my betas again and I am to come back in 7-10 days for a rescan.
I tracked my ovulation with OPKs so it's unlikely that my dating is significantly off. The only chance left is if my tilted uterus just happened to hide the baby. 
Waiting and grieving in the meantime.

I have the same thing well almost. I also have a tilted uterus. Duringnmy scan the tech saw 2 gestational sacs but they can only find 1 heartbeat and the other sac appears empty. I got the news a week ago and it has been rough. Thankfully only have to wait until tuesday for my next scan. I have read that ultrasounds before 8 weeks can be tricky and just keep hoping for the best. I hope everything turns ok for you.

I had this last summer and they told me it was blighted ovum. I really hope your baby shows up.

They told me that at 6w2d! Went back at 7w3d and there's a baby

My sac looked empty until 8 weeks when I went back for the 4th time. I'm have twins and they both have heartbeats.

Ugh. Retry in 7-10 days.  See if it changes before you give up.   Prayers for you.  Did this exact thing in April and ended up with still empty.   I did read about a lot that didn't so I'd insist they wait a week and try again
