new baby

I'm 32 weeks and i have a 1 year old that sleeps in the bed with me (has since a newborn), my plan with this baby is for her to sleep in the crib and work on getting my son to sleep by his self. my family keeps telling me how i need to make my son sleep in the crib and the new baby sleep with me, but i feel like my son would think we're replacing him or feel left out. Any advice?
