do Kegels really help?

Hi ladies!  do Kegels really help during labor?  I know we are supposed to do them but I keep forgetting!

I did them religiously with my last baby, and I pushed him out in two pushes 🙃

I never did them, just had my husband help me stretch and I pushed out our 8lb.6oz. daughter in 4 pushes with no pain meds, ..and she's our 1st born lol...I think it all depends on the woman and her body.. lol can't hurt to do them tho I guess!

24 weeks and did them the first week i knew I was pregnant 😭🙈

Never did them - started pushing first baby at 8:30 and he was born at 8:49 - 4 pushes!

I use ben-wa balls so I don't forget, plus I still want to maintain the integrity of my noonoo once baby is here and they will help with that.

I think they do! I think it also helps with the recovery phase afterwards, not just labor itself. I did them religiously with my first and pushes my daughter out in only 3 pushes. I also recovered down there faster, even though I had 7 stitches.
