off the pill

I am about to get back on the pill on Sunday but I have noticed (tmi) that after not taking it for a week or so a elasticy discharge was present. now I've looked it up and people are just saying it means that you're going through ovulation but I'm wondering if anyone else has been through this or knows what it is. it feels like a blood clot but I know for sure it isn't, it's clear.
