Pumpkins spiced everything!

I just got back from the grocery store and it's back... the pumpkin spice has returned. From coffee to cupcakes, tea, cookies, rice cakes. I even saw a pumpkin spiced popcorn flavor! I don't know why this irks me so. It's just cinnamon and nutmeg, occasionally cloves. I think it's the fact that there is zero pumpkin in it so why bother including it in the name? Pumpkin spice refers to the combination of spices predominantly in pumpkin pie. It drives me nuts! Does anybody else feel this marketing ploy has gotten out of hand?
