On average, how long does it take baby to grow one inch longer?

Question

Our infant car seat has a max height limit of 30 inches. 
My baby was 27 inches at her six month appointment. 
I'm just trying to get an idea of how much longer we'll be able to use her infant car seat. 
Another month? Two months?

It obviously matters on the child. But my daughter is 15 months and by limits can still fit in her infant seat. But she is small. She's in a convertible though. 
I would say you have a few months. We switched at 7 months to the convertible just for the fact that she was too heavy to carry and she was sitting and wanted to see more I think. She loves being able to look or the window.

Once they get a little bigger a convertible seat is safer anyway. I'd start shopping now before your babe gets too big.

Currently my daughter is growing an inch a month. Her infant seat only goes up one more notch and she's only 3 month old (24 inches). I don't know if it's just the seat we have but ours goes up to 30 inches and it's already quite snug. So we plan to make the switch between 6-8 minths.
