Parable of Two Monks

Sa

Two monks crossed a turbulent river. A beautiful young woman asked them if they could help her to cross it. The old monk took her on his shoulders silently and carried get to the other shore.

Already on the way to the monastery, the young monk stopped and asked the older monk, "The Scriptures forbid the monks to even touch a woman, and you have not only touched her, but carried her on your shoulders."

The old monk laughed and said, "I left her near the river and you still carry her."
