confused.....help!

okay, so I got a positive ovulation test on August 24th, which was two days after my period ended. I thought that was strange since I NEVER ovulate that early as I have, long, irregular cycles. well today, I woke up to sore breasts, but if I was pregnant it would be way to early to have sore breasts, right? I'm not sure when my period is due, I feel like my cycle is all messed up right now ! we only had sex once because I didn't know I would be ovulating so early.....anyone have a similar experience? any insight would be great, thank you !
