Getting a kitten while pregnant?

Question

Our amazing cat unexpectedly passed away. He was only 5 and we are heartbroken. I really would like to have a cat around once our baby arrives- to have company and just idk I've always had a pet. My husband is a little hesitant. Is it nuts to get a cat when we are due the end of October? 
Btw- not concerned about toxoplasmosis so don't bother with that please.

I say get one, specially since it will still be a baby when your baby comes, and cats are in my opinion very easy to have, and plus you can train it from the very beginning not to go on the baby's stuff

Adopt a cat, no matter where you live there will be a ton that need a good home and then it's already trained. 
I just adopted a 9 year old cat a few months ago ❤️

I wouldn't only because if I had a newborn and a kitten woke the baby or me up, I'd be so mad 😂 personally, I'd wait until the baby was a few months and I had a little more of a routine down.

I think it'd be hard to get in a routine with a newborn and a kitten. Kittens don't really have boundaries, and it would be super frustrating to be corralling the cat while trying to care for a baby. I'd wait until the baby was a bit older but that's me.

We brought home a kitten about 6 weeks ago. We lost our cat to cancer 2 years ago and felt finally ready to get a new kitty. We wanted her to be adjusted to the house before we brought baby home and have time to train her.

YES! I got a kitten while I was pregnant. My 10 month old kitten I had died unexpectedly during my pregnancy and it devastated me so much that I started to lose weight so my boyfriend went out and got us a new kitten I felt a lot better. 
The only thing you have to avoid is the liter box. 😊

This is Juno. I rescued her a couple weeks ago. I'm due October 23rd. She has become my little best friend. I say go for it.
