I have a paragard copper iud. I dislodged my last paragard iud about 2 weeks ago accidentally using a menstrual cup..i broke the seal like normal during removal, but my cervix was very low and the strings just happened to be inside my cup. I grabbed the iud strings when I pinched to pulled the cup out, dislodging it...so I had to go have another one placed..I was discussing with my Dr beforehand that I still really want to use my menstrual cups because I dont ever want to go back to tampons and she said she would just completely remove the iud strings and I wouldn't ever have to worry about catching them. so now my iud has no strings at all. she did an intravaginal ultrasound right after placement and the iud was right where it should be. Does anyone else have an iud with no strings whatsoever? with my last iud I had super short strings (like barely 2 inches long) because my husband could feel them, so I had them cut shorter during my one month string check. the Dr said having no strings would make removal a bit harder but nothing to worry about in the future. Im just curious as to what you guys think about all this??
