Can I have a natural birth with my second child if my first was an emergency caesarean?

I'm not pregnant yet but trying, I'm really worried that I won't get to have a natural birth ever because I couldn't do it the first time 😔

I think you can BUT I think it depends how far in between etc there's a risk of uterine rupture if too soon when you go into labor. Ask your doc

It depends on why you had an emergency csection. If you had it because the baby couldn't tolerate labor, you might be able to have a vbac. But if it is because you couldn't dilate enough or something then no. They probably won't let you

My OB said I could try because I had dilated enough before the Cesarean. I opted to have another C section though.   In my experience the scheduled C section was completely different from the emergency because I didn't labour I wasn't tired after and I was much more coherent during the whole process. I held my baby shortly after the spinal wore off which was fast and went home the next day.

It depends on the hospital and state. I was told since I went in for a planned csection (baby boy was frank breech) that I was not allowed to have a vbac at that hospital. If I wanted to find another obgyn that was affiliated with another hospital it might be possible, but I love my obgyn too much.
