When should I install the Car seat?

First time momma over here! 32+3 and wondering when it's time to get my baby's car seat in my car? I actually JUST bought my new mommy milf mobile and want to make sure we are good to go for my little man on time!😊

Put the base in whenever you're ready, in case you're involved in an accident - its cheaper to replace the base than the seat. I'll have my hospital bag on the carseat ready to go at the door when I go into labor those will be the two things I grab 👍🏻

If you need a "check" make sure you use a CPST (certified passenger safety technician)which can be found online via Safe Kids or CSFTL.org
Not all police/fire dept are certified and I wouldn't trust anyone who isn't. Make sure you read the car seat and vehicle manuals before installing. There is also a great group on Facebook called Car seats for the Littles that allows you to post your install and a CPST will help check its all good to go!

My hospital said 36 weeks was a good time to put it in.

I'm 36+2 and just put the base in, in case of an accident in the mean time - chances are slim but you never know!! I have my seat waiting at the front door with all of our bags packed and ready to go! 😊

Go ahead and put it in why wait? You can get used to it like taking it in and out if it's a carrier

I'm 32+3 as well, I'm going to wait until 37-38 weeks to have the base installed by the fire department. I don't know how it works in every state but ours has a certified tech that does it 3 times a week at the fire department. If he decides to come early, the hospital also has a technician to help with installation or my husband will just have to go have it installed while we're in the hospital.

Anytime is fine- but if I were you I would go to the fire department and let them install they are quick and certified
