When your breastfeeding and baby falls asleep

breastfeeding my 6wk old daughter and she falls asleep. I left my breast out while she slept on my chest and re-latched and is now sucking again while sleep. This is something she tends to do when she's hungry and tired. Does anyone else experience this?

My son will be 6w tomorrow, and he does the same. Sometimes they may not be hungry, they are using us as pacifiers.

My LO falls asleep all the time while breastfeeding (or bottle feeding for that matter). Sometimes I'll burp him or change his position to get him to wake up. If he's just sucking and not actually eating I'll pop a pacifier in his mouth. If he spits it out and starts fussing I know he's still hungry, otherwise he's just soothing.

My 6 week old does this as well at night I do the same if I'm really tired but if I'm up or during the day I rub his cheeks or his back with a baby wipe play with his feet and he keeps going until he done
