I have the copper iud and it's been working great for me until today.

I switched from tampons/pads to menstrual cup for the second time since I've had the iud in place and today it tugged my iud down. The strings are halfway out of my vagina and I think I feel it in an odd position. It doesn't hurt necessarily - just feels like a mild cramp. I'm waiting to go to urgent care in the morning unless I'm in too much pain.

Has anyone ever experienced this? What did you do? What should I do?

Edit: I think it's important to note I'm currently on my period.
