When did your child start sleeping with a blanket?

Just curious and not to judge. About to have my first and just want to know what other moms do.

not judging,  just stating a fact. it's very unsafe to have a baby sleep with a blanket before the age of one.  some even later. just cause they roll or move, doesn't mean they can't become trapped like a burrito in their sleep and suffocate. swaddles are only safe until they can roll.  after they roll, they become VERY dangerous,  as baby will roll on its face and suffocate. a baby in a sleep sack ( without arm holes ) is perfect as blacked until they roll. after they roll, a sleep sack WITH holes for arms, will suffice. put them in a sleeper onsie, în a sleeps sack, and that's all that's needed.  let's not forget that they say OPTIMAL temp for baby to sleep in, is between 68-70 degrees.

my son is 7 weeks old he's been sleeping with a blanket since birth he's also been sleeping on his tummy since he's was 2 weeks old since he sleeps better & prefers it that way, He doesn't like hard surfaces even though it recommended and he doesn't like to sleep flat on his back so he sleep either on a really soft blanket or a firm pillow he doesn't turn his head toward the front at all while asleep he keeps his head turned to the side so he can breath. I honestly don't even worry about it I'm a first time mom but I've helped raise so many children that I never even needed help with my son so far, I'm confident in my parenting.

My daughter will be two this month and she still sleeps in a sleep sack. No plans to change that anytime soon.

We gave ours small security blankets at like 8 months. They're less than a square foot big and made of a single layer of muslin fabric so I'm comfortable with them. Any other blankets I wouldn't want them sleeping with, we use sleep sacks if we feel they need something to cover them up.

We've used a blanket since birth. My daughter has severe reflux and slept in a rock and play until she was about 7 months old. There was no rolling and the blanket was always on her feet with her being next to our bed. When she grew out of it she slept in a pack and play next to our bed. Then we covered her with a Muslin. She's woken up every two hours since she was born. She's now 13 months old and only last week started sleeping five hour stretches. If she was in her own room or actually sleeping through the night I don't think I would have given her one though. 
  
Bedtime for us is pure hell. I don't sleep, she hardly sleeps. I want her to be as comfortable as possible and her being covered helps.

I would never give a baby under 12 months a blanket. It's so unsafe! My daughter won't get one until she's 12 months and it's approved by her doctor.

I feel like I've always had a blanket in the crib with her but that stage of her life is a blur to me. And when I say blanket I mean thin muslin swaddle
