Need a second opinion

Annette

The newspaper I worked for was suppose to close at the end of August. My last day of employment was August 25. But on Friday, September 1, my former boss texted me saying she had a buyer for the newspaper. During the conversation she didn't necessarily say that I was to go back to work for the newspaper (at least that's how I understood it). She was suppose to text me on Saturday to give me an update but she didn't (which really isn't a big surprise). She's very forgetful and unreliable. If it wasn't for me and her daughter nothing would have never been done. Below is the text conversation:

So am I understanding it right that she didn't ask me to go back to work? In all honesty, if I had more of a savings and barely any bills or even another job, then I wouldn't go back. My former boss and her daughter always bring their personal drama into the office and try to get me involved. It really just makes everything more stressful. Another publisher had approached me before my job ended. I already had a telephone interview with him and sent him my resume. During the interview he told me he really didn't have a position available but he would see if he could find a place for me. I haven't heard back, but I plan to follow up tomorrow.

Sorry if this is in the wrong room. I wasn't sure where to post.
