Opk progression?

So I KNOW these aren't positive, but it's my first time using them and I thought it would be much fainter at CD9, does anyone have experience with these and know if they progressively get darker, or can it happen where they get lighter and then darker again just when the surge happens? I'll be testing everyday, this is just out of curiosity! 😊

I have PCOS and I use OPK but it helps me knows when I might have AF. 
Mine progresses normally then right when I hit a dark positive it then starts going down as normal then it's gets out of control. It then goes back up and get super dark then it's all over the place .

Mine would always get lighter and darker throughout the cycle.
