Fussy spurts
Let me start with a little background info first... my baby is 2 1/2 months old. At 10 days old I took her to the emergency for a fever of 100.4 needless to say, after a full work up of tests they found my daughter had a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in her heart. After attempting to treat it with Tylenol the dr concluded that this fairly large hole would have to be closed off surgically. Thankfully, they were able to close off the hole without cutting into my daughters chest. Instead, they performed a catheter procedure to insert a device to close off the hole. This procedure was done this past Friday. My daughter recovered beautifully with no pain meds or oxygen needed. But for some reason, she's been having fussy spurts since yesterday. I do make sure she's fed, diaper changed, burped, and comfortable but she still cries and no matter what I do, nothing seems to calm her down. Which is very unusual bc normally I can soothe her fairly quickly. Can anyone give me some advice on what else I can try? I've spoken to her pediatrician about this but all she had to say was that she's perfectly healthy and she thinks the fussy spurts are due to her growing.
