When did you tell your boss you were pregnant?

Question

How far along were you when you told your boss you were pregnant? And why did you choose to tell him/her/them at that time? 
Thanks for any and all stories and insight! Trying to decide when I want to share the news.

I told my boss and cowkeer the day after I found out lol My workplace is my second home and we are more of a family than coworkers. I work in law enforcement so it was important for me that my family around me is aware, and I kid you not I have brothers at work lol they are so over protective since they've found out I am beyond blessed.

About 9 weeks, because I knew I couldn't keep stressing the way I was during my pregnancy. I was working 10-11 hour shifts and coming in super early to get stuff done. I left that job for maternity leave and never came back. They've since hired 3 people to do the job I had been doing alone.

At 20 weeks. Unfortunately, she didn't take it well. The salon I worked at prior let me go weeks after I told them because they no longer had 'business for me' so at 12 weeks I found myself jobless with a family to support and another baby on the way. 3 weeks later I found my current salon and LOVED IT immediately. Being that I was very nervous I would again lose my job when they found out I was pregnant I waited 5 weeks just to feel the place out and also establish myself as an employee. When I broke the news I was disappointed to find my boss very short in her response. Basically just told me we would discuss it later. 3 days from then she pulls me into a room and goes off on me for 20 minutes because of how I 'handled the situation.' She claimed she would have hired me regardless but I don't really believe her because if that were true she wouldn't have been so angry. I left and could not stop crying. Since then I have been doing the best I can to prove I deserve my job and that she is wrong  about me. I'm definitely under a microscope there and she looks for any excuse to come down on me. ive has several run ins with her that can only be described as hostile and inappropriate. I really like the girls I work with...the salon is awesome and the pay is good. I go on maternity leave on Oct 29th. I'm hoping when I come back this can be water under the bridge...otherwise I'm going to have to look for another job...again. 😩 just

I told my boss when I was like 6 weeks, so super early. The reason I chose to tell her that early was because she was training me to take over the company and I knew it was going to affect the timing of her retirement plans. She had been really good to me and I wanted to give her as much notice as possible. It all worked out - almost 2 years later she's retired and I'm back at work!

4 weeks. were close so i didnt mind telling her when i found out. plus she knew i had a mmc beforehand and knew my husband and i were trying again.

It was just last week, I'm 10 weeks. And I was running late to work and I haven't eaten all morning and you know how that goes if we don't eat we feel dizzy, sick, and moody! So, I got to work LATE and I pulled both managers aside and let them know that I HAVE to eat I have no option because I am pregnant and I have to take my prenatal and for me to do that I have to eat either way! They were totally cool about it and congratulated me. I did not want to tell them at all till I started showing atleast a little bit. I'm skinny, so whenever I wear tight clothing I just look bloated!

I told mine at 12 weeks. I figured I was in the clear, that I'd be sharing with other people soon, and there was a lot changing with my job for the following year (I'm a teacher) so I felt it was something that needed to be considered. I ended up not telling anyone else for almost a month after that and she couldn't wait for everyone to know!
