A lot of people over feed their baby but  formula feed baby should eat 2 1/2 oz of formula for the weight a day so if a baby weight is 11 lbs the multiple that by 2 1/2 oz which equals 27 1/2 then if your feeding every four hours they should be eating 4.5 oz ever 4 hrs to equal 6 times that day

it depends on each baby, my son is a big eater..I breastfeed and bottle feed. He can easily drink 5oz from a bottle. So I would say 4 oz is normal.
