Did the mirena IUD cause any of the following for you?

I'm really leaning towards getting the mirena IUD and the doctor has assured me weight gain is unlikely from this IUD and she's never had a patient come back and report weight gain. I'm just worried about some side effects

I didn't gain weight either. Also not having a period for 3.5 years was fantastic. 
I would also advise that you ensure your MD complete a pelvic exam, uses a ultrasound machine and measures your uterus prior to insertion. IMO, This seems to be the best way to properly have it inserted without issues. This was done prior to my insertion and I had no issues. 
Also, the more you can relax during the insertion the less painful it is. I know it's hard when you are in a compromising position but I hardly felt mine being inserted.  *** a trick I learned when I was pregnant and it made the cervix checks way less painful.
