So this is my first time reaching out to the internet. I would just like to see what people generally think of my situation. So VERY long story short my boyfriend and I are 10 weeks pregnant, yay! Unexpected but we are excited. with that we are having a disagreement on where we would like to live to raise our child. He is from Phoenix Arizona and he would like us to live and raise the baby there. His whole family and MY 1 brother live there with some minor exceptions his 2 brothers living where I would like to live. I would like to stay in Cape May NJ. Where I grew up and have my entire family , with the exception that his 2 brothers live here. perks of AZ, it is cheaper, there are more jobs, rentals are easier to come by, he *possibly* has a decent job there. cons. I lived there before and got terribly home sick, I felt very alone and I did not enjoy living in the city , even with cheaper rent we struggled still, I did not get to see my family as much as I had hoped(I wanted to be able to see them once a year), and the chances of a job hiring me being pregnant are slim to none (I am currently 3 months). Perks of Cape May NJ, I know almost everyone, I have a decent job that is still garunteed to me after I give birth, my entire family is more available to help with this baby if need be and know everyone themselves, I have more resources and references. Cons. it is a serious tourist town once winter hits unemployment is unbelievable(I fortunately work a year round job) , the rent is considerably higher since we are by the ocean, He had lived here before and the seasonal depression for him is horrible he needs the heat/sun. We are both in agreement that we will go where ever is best for our baby, but we are having difficulties deciding where that is. Any advice ?
