HCG levels too low or ok?

Question

So I had my first visit, I'm supposed to be 6 weeks 6 days and they took my blood. They just called back and said that my levels were 335. I'm feeling like that's really low, I know I should wait to see if they double in a couple of days. Has anyone had their levels be lower and still be ok?

My understanding is it's not the hcg number that's important but that they increase at a particular rate.  Did you use OPKs to know when you ovulated?  I ask as if not there could be the possibility you ovulated later then you thought so number will be lower.  I hope your next hcg levels are much better :-)

So I went in for an ultrasound today and they couldn't find a sac in my uterus. My lining was thick and my cervix is closed. They saw what looks like a cyst by my right ovary. They are suspecting it is an ectopic pregnancy. I'm so scared! 
Another possibility is that maybe I'm too early and there just happens to be a cyst there. 
They're taking my blood to check my hcg tomorrow and a follow up ultrasound on Friday. 
I had two miscarriages in the last year and I really thought this was it, finally. I'm hoping that the second option is what's going on, but it doesn't look good.
