Autism mother bears

missi

Today I had an IEP meeting with my sons school. I shared my concerns with wanting my son in the right placement setting. Right now he is in a moderate severe classroom, but belongs in mild moderate.

My husband was with me during the meeting and put no two sense what so ever. I kept looking back at him and his head was down the whole freaking time! I'm like why are you even here?! Your suppose to be supportive not frightened like a little dog. Don't you have anything to say at all? I'm so disappointed because we've talked about this many times. I agree that sometimes it could be a little intimidating a few moments. But we're not here to give anyone a hard time , but to voice what's best for our children's needs. My question to you ladies is... our all autism daddies this way? Do your husbands take lead? Is there any dads who have a voice for these kids? How do we be on the same page .
