How far along am I?

Okay so I was told on a ultrasound scan the baby measured 5+6 but from my lmp(07/25/2017) I should've been at 4+6 basically a week off. What could that mean? Did I ovulate sooner? I had sex the 8th and 9th. I have 36 Day cycles and I was pretty sure the first ultrasound didn't see anything bc I was only about 3 weeks bc the first time they didn't see anything at all and now the baby is measuring 5+6?? Can ultrasound scans be a tad bit wrong?

You probably ovulated sooner or baby implanted quickly. The early dating scans have been proven to be the most accurate prediction. But it is always a prediction so you could always deliver a little early or a little late. Congrats!

When I went in according to my lmp I was 6w4d doctor said I'm 5w5d I'm currently 7 weeks today go back on Monday for another scan

Could be a few things, ovulating early, implanting quickly but also the first 12 weeks the baby grows so rapidly, doubling in size each week, that the early scans can be off. You'll get more accurate dates the further along your pregnancy you go.

I think they can be. My first one came back as measuring 5w2d then exactly two weeks later I measured 5W6D. I have another ultrasound tomorrow to try and finally see the heartbeat. It's pretty normal Hun, congratulations ❤️
