Too much sleep?

Question

Bub has started sleeping through the night recently - and he sleeps for about 10 hours! Is this too long? He is quite comfortable and doesn't cry for a feed and wakes up comfortably after this time - it just seems a might long time to go without a feed! How long does everyone else's bub sleep throughout the night?

My son has slept through the night since like 6/7 weeks. It started as 12-5/6, now (15 weeks tomorrow) he has been sleeping from 10-9 every night for about 5 weeks. The first several times I panicked but EVERYONE (pediatrician included) told me to count my blessing and get my sleep. As long as they are getting the food they need during the day and you aren't doing something you shouldn't to get them to sleep (first thing his dr asked at 2 months when I told him about it was "you aren't giving him  cereal before bed are you?") then it is FINE!

My daughter has been sleeping 9-12 hours straight since she was 5 weeks old! Her doctor hasn't been concerned about it. She just tends to want food more often during the day which makes sense. We always make sure she's getting the same amount every day to accommodate for her sleeping through the night.

My daughter has slept 12 hours the past couple of nights. I've noticed when she sleeps for longer, she wants her bottles more often during the day (closer to every 2 hours instead of 3) and I do give her a larger feeding right before she goes down for the night. Her pedi isn't concerned about going so long without eating, said it's normal as baby starts maturing. I'm not gonna lie, it's awesome to not have that 2 am wake up!

Not at all! Sleep is developmental and when they do it in their own that's good! My LO had been sleeping 10+ hours a night since about a month old. If you're baby is hungry they'll wake up! Enjoy the sleep momma!

ive asked my daughter's doctor this cuz mines goes to sleep at 8 and whats up at 730 to eat and then goes back to sleep and wakes up 2 hours later after that she stays awake for a hour and naps for 3 until her bedtime so i ask her cuz thats a lot of sleep lol and she said its totally normal some babies will wake up every hungry and want to feed more then usual, she said if the baby asks for more after a long period of time to give the baby more milk because their tummy is trying to catch up from the hours they missed by sleeping... I mean I not complaining 🤗
