Hyperemesis Gravidarum

Miranda

This is my second pregnancy. My first one was 9 years ago with twin boys. I had a pretty "normal" pregnancy, morning sickness (well, all day sickness) but it cleared up. No swelling, lots of energy, it was amazing. I was also 16.

Fast forward. I am now 25 and just about 12 weeks.

At week 5 I was so sick (its how I found out actually) and was actually hospitalized because I was constantly nauseous and vomiting, I had gone 20 hours without keeping anything down and so I went to the ER. The diagnosis was Hyperemesis Gravidarum (idk if that's the exact spelling, sorry). They gave me a rx for nausea that I never took because it said to take a half an hour before a meal and I never knew when I was going to eat.

About 6 weeks later I am not quite as sick but being in a vehicle triggers it as do some foods.

Doctors said this USUALLY clears up by week 20.

Anyone experience this? Did it actually clear up? Around when? Any ideas to keep the nausea at bay?

Thank you 😘
