Baby wheezing ( is this normal )?

My 7 month old is wheezing a lot recently and at first it was whenever he was excited but now he does it nearly all the time and sometimes it sounds pretty bad
Is this normal for a 7month old? I'm a first time mum

It could just be a new sound he's learning. I had this same question a few weeks ago when my baby was 7 months

I had that same concern last week!! My 7 month old son started wheezing. He did it when he was excited or moving around.

He stopped a week later. I think it was something he discovered he could do and he did it for fun.

You should observe your child and if it gets worse go see a doctor.

My 8 month old did it for a while when she was younger because of gerd. But recently she was doing it and coughing. Took her to the doctor and it was where she had some mucus . Was giving something that will help her bring it up and allergy medicine. I would definitely get it checked out just in case it is something serious.

Wheezing is not normal ... it could possibly develop into asthma, but doctors usually won't diagnose it until kids are a bit older. I would get it checked out asap. Never mess around when it's a breathing concern!

I would take him in... my son was wheezing and it started sounding like whistling... everyone thought I was being paranoid.. he went to the doctor several times before they heard it. He ended up being admitted for 3 days to the hospital.
His doctor told me he was struggling to breathe and the whistling sounds meant it was getting out of control. 
I was terrified and it started as just a wheeze that would not go away but it started sparingly and increased.

If it just started recently I would get it checked out if it continues. Could just be a cold or something. I'd wait a couple days and see if it gets better.
