Treats for the nurses??

So I'm getting my hospital bag ready and I want to get some treats for the nurses. My question is....how many nurses do we get ladies?? Does anyone know? First time mom over here I don't have a clue lol

I was in labour for 27 hours so saw a lot of different staff . I put a celebrations/quality street tin and some nice flavoured biscuits on the ward behind the midwife desk so they could all share . I think I had 3 midwives for labour/delivery and the after care nurses were great as well who look after you once you've had your baby which I was on ward for 2 days after delivery so a shared selection of goodies seemed the way to go 😃

Since I'm being induced the plan is to bring day shift donuts and some chocolates for night shift. It's either that or a gift basket with different things like chapstick, pens, sticky notes,  candy, etc. for everyone on the floor.

I was induced on kick off day for Girl Scout cookies so I brought the nurses several boxes of cookies. You get 1 assigned nurse but you will see the charge or resource nurse during breaks. You may also see a nurses aid. It really depends on the hospital.

I had thoughts of stopping and getting a dozen donuts on the way to the hospital for the nurses but depending on how circumstances go that may not work out. Any suggestions for non perishable treats to bring for the nurses?

it will depend on your stay. with my first my labor was super quick so I only have 1 set of labor/deliver nurses  (approx 2-5). then when I moved to postpartum side I stayed 2 nights and went through about 4 sets of nurses, usually about 2 nurses each set. with my first i made a big basket full of goodies that included little candles, candies, coffee, snacks, lotions, etc that they could put in their break room and kind of pick through. It's super hard to gift them all because of their shifts and you don't know how many you'll have until you get there
