Is it bad to drink while trying to conceive??

I am 26 years old and my husband and I are trying to conceive now. But still being young we like to go out with friends and have a couple drinks and drink wine at home. Will this conflict with trying to have a baby? My thing is I just want to enjoy myself but I also want a baby.

There's some evidence that says it can slightly lower your chances. Same thing with caffeine and smoking. But at the same time, what if it takes 6 months? Or longer? you should be able to enjoy yourself now and then! I usually drank during my period and not past my fertile days. Goodluck 🍷

I drank, and then quit during my two week wait. I got my baby the second month trying.

Drink til its pink. Your life shouldn't change because who knows how long it'll take?! A wine or beer here and there are fine. And if you do get pregnant... it's waaay waaay too early for the baby to be sharing anything from you.

I'm currently ttc as well and I am currently enjoying a glass of wine. I was careful last month and we didn't get pregnant. Then I felt like I missed out on a month of summer. I'm just drinking responsibly and not excessively. Cheers 🍷

Drink till it's pink! As long as you guys arent alcoholics or anything I doubt it'll mess with your chances. My husband and I (23&26) still would go out, have a few drinks while TTC and it only took us 9 months to conceive. It was nice to kind of keep our lives normal while TTC.

I never did... but I was also testing before I was late. I found out I was pregnant 10 days after he was conceived. My daughter was unplanned, so I obviously didn't abstain when we conceived her either lol. But I was on top of things and tested the day I was meant to get my period, cause my shit is like clockwork! Haha

I didn't drink while trying to conceive, but I also didn't drink much to begin with so not drinking wasn't really a change. I wouldn't worry too much as long as you aren't heavily drinking.

I drank when I was trying and now I'm almost 20 weeks but everyone's different! I was drinking the night before I found out!😬

I was very drunk at a wedding/on vacation/celebrating my birthday the week when we conceived.... and drank a bit until we found out at 4 weeks. We had been trying for about 3 months, had it been longer I may eventually have toned down drinking a bit but we were okay!
