Anyone SO freak out with BFP?

My boyfriend, who was happy ttc with me 2 weeks ago, is now MIA and has told me he can't do this. He is my best friend. Been together 8 years. He put a down payment on an engagement ring 3 weeks ago. I'm so lost. Has this happened to anyone and has your guy come back around? My heart is broken.

I think he just needs time to process it all. my husband went quiet for 3 days maybe a week, can't remember exactly. we both agreed to try and we were on the same page and the moment it happened it was like "oh" ...... I read about it men usually need time to process the BFP while women are excited and emotional. give him time, he should come around. whatever you do, do not argue with him, let him gather his thoughts.

My fiance did something similar except instead of completing dropping out just isolated and began drinking. I told him I would leave him and how much it hurt that we wanted this baby all be it she decided to be conceived earlier than planned and he had been so distant leaving me to handle the hormones and symptoms alone. He came around and apologized, and then confided that because of his family situation (both parents and brother on meth and stealing cars, he was homeless his senior year of high school) that he was terrified of being like his dad and not being good enough for us. Talk to him, there may be something else going on that he needs your support through. It hurts like hell on our end, but he might just need you to be there for him.

OMG I cannot believe how you must be feeling right now! How dare he run off like that and just say, "oh never mind, I can't do this" after it's already been done!? I'm so sorry, I wish this wasn't happening to you. Neither of my children's fathers have done this, but hopefully yours is just having a panic moment and he'll be back to man up. fx it all works out for the best. either way, you'll be a great mama!!
