Baby grunts a lot ? Anyone else's baby do the same

I give him breast milk in a bottle , occasionally some formula when i don't make enough. He seems to grunt when trying to poop ? But doesn't cry, it makes me feel like he's in pain :(

My baby girl does this too! She is only breast fed and I've been trying to figure out why she does this. Its mainly at night too...

I looked into it and apparently "grunting baby syndrome" is a thing. Relates to their digestive system. Ours grunts all the time after a feeding, especially and for the longest stretches at night. They apparently grow out of it as their system develops.

My daughter is always grunting! When she wakes up, especially at night, she grunts for a few minutes before she cries. I usually wake up to her grunting and get her before she even cries.

I thought it was because my milk was so good at one point lol until he kept pulling on my nipples without it leaving his mouth and found out he just needed to be burped.

Oh my daughter had grunted since day one. I don't think it's always poop related.

My little girl is 4weeks old and grunts squeezes goes bright red to poop. I massage her tummy she looks like she's in pain too but as soon as it's gone she's ok

Not in pain.. And are you a first time mom? this is my 3rd and it's so much less stressful then the firs.. I don't have the I feel what they are feeling after the first.

My LO does this. Sometimes it's a grunt and he's definitely trying to poop. He is EBF, and my Lactation lady said that breastfeeding (and maybe eating in general, idk) actually triggers their digestive systems in a good way. So if he is struggling and also hungry he will grunt both on and off the boob. 
He also does this noise that sounds like a grunt when breathing and the doc said it's just because his throat and all that system isn't fully developed- so when he breathes it vibrates his vocal chords and sort of sounds grunt-y. It's not all the time but seems to be more noticeable after feeding.

My 3 week old has been doing this the whole time. He grunts and strains and acts like he's in pain, but his poo is straight liquid that comes explosively shooting out, so he's not constipated. My pediatrician said some babies are just dramatic poppers, or he may be having some has issues. I tried gripe water to help with gas, but didn't notice a difference. I'm now trying to cut out dairy from my diet, to see if that helps at all.
