Birth control?

I'm 6 weeks PP and my doc suggested birth control.. which has worked best for you? Mirena IUD, the depo shot, or the pill?

To be honest, if I had to do it over I would stick with condoms. I became pregnant shortly after coming off the pill and that ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I read somewhere that miscarriages after coming off the pill are common and although many women do go on to have successful births (my second pregnancy went well), that first miscarriage was devastating to me. After my firstborn we did Mirena thinking we'd take it out after the five year expiration about when our daughter went to kindergarten and have decent spacing between kids. Don't know if Mirena is to blame but we have been TTC for years since then...no luck. One more miscarriage at 5 weeks a year and a half ago. I have also heard that some women have trouble TTC after IUDs. I had no reason to think I'd  have trouble TTC my second but we are...and I really regret taking birth control. It is difficult to have little ones close together and provide for everyone financially...but I wish we had just had a "we will find a way to make it work with more kids" attitude instead of trying to plan the family out. Not to say you  should have more kids if you don't want them or can't afford them but I always wanted a big family and it looks like it  might be just the three of us. Just something to consider...

I only trust the pill. worked great for years. only reason it failed wasbecause i was on an antibiotic for a month straight

I really liked nuvaring. I'd leave it in a full month and then switch it out for the new one so I never had a period. Worked really well for fours years.
