Nexplanon!!

I was just wondering about my implant. I got it on the 31st of August and my doctor told me to wait 7 days before it would be effective. Would I be safe to have sex with no condoms today? I know the implant is over 99% effective but is it that effective today? Or should I wait longer? I'm also in my fertile week so I'm worried it didn't stop my ovulation 😭 this is my first time being on bc so forgive me if I'm worrying too much
