Normal for baby to do this while asleep?

My daughter is two months old and I notice her do this a couple of times while she's sleeping. Two times it's been when her pacifier fell out of her mouth, so I don't know if this startled her or what- but when it happens she will look terrified and her eyes will be open but she's still asleep and she moves like she's startled and kind of start jerking- but it's just really scary that her eyes are open but it's like she's asleep at the same time. Once she's awake or I wake her she starts to cry. does this sound normal?
