first baby plane trip was a nightmare

six months old. five hours. he was "that" baby. unconsolable. to be fair, he was super tired, we got through it in good spirits, everyone was super nice. he's 6mos... i certainty don't blame him or think anything is wrong with him. but when does it get easier ... I mean , when do kids get old enough to be entertained by a movie during a flight? my son HATES sitting around and I knew, I KNEW this was going to go down exactly like it did. Everyone else said I was going to be proven wrong but, hey, I know my kid haha.
