How many had delivery by C section and what was the reason ?

I would like to know that how many of you here had C section deliveries and what was the reason behind it ?
I have heard doctors purposely do a C section sometimes only to fill their pockets.

If you think your dr would put you through a massive procedure simply to earn extra money, you need to find a new dr you trust.

Absolutely no doctor would do it for the hell of it, especially as it is major surgery and death is a potential issue. I have had two one was an emergency at 36 weeks due to my daughter being in fetal distress. The second one was at 38 weeks after vbac did not work, and my daughter was stuck. This time I have to have another as vbac is no longer an option for me. Cesarean sections should never be considered unless absolutely necessary.

When I had my first daughter I was induced after 16hours of labor my blood pressure was through the roof . The doctor states it was so high I could have had an stroke.Emergency c section for first daughter. Second was an schedule c section due to my first delivery. I recovered great both times.

My water broke unexpectedly at 32 weeks. I was not in labor though, no contractions at all but due to infection risk I had to be induced. After 15 hours on a Pitocin drip I was only 1cm and still not contracting at all. Dr said she was so tiny and so high up that my cervix was not going to dilate like it should have. I had a c-section that night then again 20 months later with my second daughter. I personally don't think the recovery was that bad. With my second I was up and moving around 6 hours after I had her.

I was induced on Jan 21st due to preeclampsia at 36+6. I wasn't expecting it at all I had gone in to drop off urine to get it checked for protein and didn't have my hospital bag and actually had dinner plans that evening. When the doctors said I had 420mg of protein and they had to induce me I completely broke down because I wasn't prepared nor dilated. On the 22nd I had my water broken to try and help baby drop more, I was 5cm. At 6am on the 23rd my room was filled with 10+ doctors flipping me every which way and they put an oxygen mask on me and told me that my baby's heart rate was dropping down to 40 beats per minute each contraction which called for an emergency c-section. After 37 hours of labor my daughter was born and we found she had her cord wrapped around her neck and if she weren't delivered at that time she wouldn't have made it. C section was never in my plan, I had never had surgery before and was absolutely terrified but in the end it was all worth it. I too had heard that doctors just rush c sections to make more money, but if they hadn't have done mine I wouldn't have a happy 7 month old here with me today

I had an emergency section due to my baby being stuck. I had a planned section with my second because of previous section and big babies. This time I'm debating a VBAC..

Went into labour water broke naturally - 
Baby had pooed so needed her out quick
So they induced me with pitocin via drip to speed up my progress
Laboured for hours and never got past 1cm
Her heart rate became distressed and slowed down because was having strong contractions but nowhere for her to go as only 1cm dilated still
Emergency c section ... 
Now booked in for a planned section on 12th october for number to as I failed to progress naturally or with pitocin. I am relieved .

I've had 2 sections, first was an emergency section as he wouldn't descend into the pelvis properly and was stuck and the second one was due to gestational diabetes and baby measuring large. If I couldn't get the first baby out they were pretty sure I wouldn't get the second baby out.
