Would you leave your pet during a hurricane?

Apparently I'm crazy. My step-aunt I've never met opened her doors to us since Irma is coming (we're about an hour from Columbus Georgia). We live in a trailer with two card and she lives in a brick house. But she's allergic to cats and said we can't bring our pets. I replied then I'm not coming. One cat I've had for eleven years and another is a stray kitten we just rescued, barely two months old. Would you risk your life to stay with your pet? We're in a new area so we haven't got a lot of options.
