What to do after taking piercing out

What to do after taking my nipple piercing out 
Shall I keep cleaning it? 
How do I prevent germs getting into it
( nipple piercing )

Answer

They will close very quickly. Cleaning them until they close isn't a bad idea but I didn't do that.
