So I've been in a relationship with this man for almost a year, it will be a year next month. We have know each other for years. The issue is, his children(twins) mother will not co parent. She took the kids and left the city, moved to another state 8 hours away. He has paid thousands of dollars to go to court to get visitation. Two years later his children mother, mother(grandmother) step in to help him see his children regularly. Like she meets him at the 4 hour drive meeting spot to get his kids. My man only talk to his baby momma when he have the children. By the way the children are 4. Fast forward, his uncle passed away and his family is having a memorial. I am close to his family, like me and his sister are almost BFFs. He told his baby mother that his Uncle passed and she decided that her mother, the children, and she will come to the memorial. So today my man tells me this and say I will not be able to come because she will be there. His reason was he don't want to risk losing his kids again. I don't want that by any means. I've been around his children quite a bit but the kids only know me as a friend nothing more so they will not back to their mom saying my name. We are at the point of moving in and one day more. I'm so hurt that I will be home looking stupid while they will be looking like a family.

What should I do. I really want him to man up but his hands are slick tied. He said he was going to tell her about us moving in but Idk. Do you all think I'm over exaggerating.....
