Any high school teachers? What traits are ideal for your job???

Question

I'm a senior in high school, and absolutely terrified because I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I love English but don't want to be an author because I want the stability of working for someone (benefits, vacation time, etc). 
If you're a high school teacher, what traits do you think make the best teachers?? Besides like organization, patience, etc. (since those are things I know you REALLY need)

I teach high school math/science. In my opinion, a good teacher is fair, relevant, and tries to make the learning process fun.  
I honestly think that, as a student, you're better able to answer what makes a good teacher!

I'm in college to be an elementary art teacher. I'm a semester away from starting my student teaching! Nervous, but exciting  🙃 you, for sure, need to want to teach students and do everything you can to make them interested in learning new things. Patience is key and being open to students of different cultural backgrounds, religious backgrounds helps. College prepares you for it all in many ways. But there are always some things that can't be taught to a future teacher in a college lecture hall
