How many rounds do you and your SO have while having sex

My boyfriend never wants to go any less than 4 rounds and hasn't since I lost my V card he gets really upset if I want to stop or I say it hurts. I thought it was me and he always made me feel like it was just me until I talked to my mom and she said that that's way to many rounds that's why it hurts so bad.
