Where were you when 9/11 happened?

I was in 6th grade. The school went on lock down because  President Bush was in town down the street from my school. In south Florida. I remember the teacher turning on the news. Not even 4 mins into it. The second plane hit. Teachers and staff were crying. It took us kids a little bit to get what was going on. One of my friends in my class lost her father that day. He was in the first tower.

In school maybe 3rd grade. All the parents came and got their kid. Felt like I was the last kid to leave. We were worried about my sister. She worked in Manhattan and I didn't know how far she was from it. She walked home. Scariest day of my life.

i was 4 and i remember sitting infront of the tv watching a plane hit a building and my dad screamed. holding my little sister on his lap. we all started crying all i knew was that something on that tv hurt my father.

I was 16 and got engaged that day. Will never get the images out of my head when I turned the news on and watched what was happening

I was 3 and only remember it because the TV went fuzzy, I was watching a show that the towers broadcasted. I could just feel my mom was acting strange the rest of the day.
(I remember a lot from when I was around that age, although I know that sounds silly)

Sitting in base housing as my husband was getting ready he's a Marine. First plane was what I thought was an accident. We knew something was wrong when the second plane hit. He left immediately for work. Not long after he was deployed. We will NEVER forget that day and never have.
