Intercourse?!?

Can you have intercourse after egg retrieval? My nurse said it's ok to have intercourse after egg retrieval to the day of transfer.

I believe most RE's advice against having sex between your retrieval and beta and I'd be  surprised if you wanted to have sex after the retrieval anyway.   I went through 2 cycles with retrieval and transfer and was achy and very bloated for a few days after each retrieval.   Not exactly a recipe for intimacy.

Yep mine also said no dice.... not that I feel like it right now anyway haha. No sex, alcohol or caffeine.... and I feel like someone ran over my stomach with a car.... thanks doc haha

My endocrinologist told me it would be best to wait 2 weeks after the retrieval. Well we didn't and it hurt me so bad!

My RE said no sec for 4 days. 4 loooooong days.

My RE said no sex for 48hours after retrieval. Then no sex for two weeks before transfer and no sex till after pregnancy test.  My poor husband lol

Personally I always avoided anything that could risk the transfer so any infections for example - hence no sex or swimming pool.
Wanted everything to heal well after the egg collection.
