What were some of your first purchases?!

So I found out recently that I'm pregnant 🙌 and I wanna start buying but idk what the gender is yet. What was the first couple things y'all bought??

Plan and budget things out, then decide what you will want to be gender specific and what will be neutral, like things you might reuse with subsequent children. Start with the things that are not gender specific.... But also keep in mind you might want to wait and see what you get from a baby shower. Maybe you can 'shop' by registering somewhere, then you could always change your mind later on

The only thing I bought for the baby was a crib, I painted the room a neutral green and a drawer... we didn't find out the sex til our baby shower at 34 weeks. And we got a ton of stuff from the baby shower... 
After the baby shower I was able to return what I didn't need and I was able to buy everything else that I was missing. So I would say buy the big essentials like a crib and a drawer (things your pretty sure no one will purchase for you) and then just wait for baby shower

ToysRus helped me imaginary shop since they have scan guns and I could pick out all the gender neutral things. This way you can look at everything even prices but wsit until friends and family give you gifts
