Ultrasounds are dangerous?

I'm having twins and I had one at 5, 7 and 8 weeks. Now I'm freaking out because I'm reading that autism can be caused by ultrasounds and it's more prevalent in twins. Does anyone know anything about This???

I've NEVER heard of this and I feel like whatever you're reading can't be scientific based. If such a risk existed, your OB would not have given you so many ultrasounds already. I'm almost 21 weeks and I have had 5 ultrasounds so far and I'm not worried about them. I think it's fine.

I've heard of this from a nurse practitioner. The way she explained it to me was it's a theory. I don't think there's enough research to support the theory. However, I am also concerned with the amount of ultrasounds given. Express your concerns with your doctor or seek a second opinion. Best of luck to you:)

Scaremongering if they didn't think it was safe they wouldn't do it. I had 9ultrasounds with my third. And yes he may have autism BUT that's due to him being born at 25wks
