If I end up with a c section do I use a girdle right after, if yes what type should I buy?

Girls, I was thinking if I end up with a c section should I bring a post girdle or belly binder to the hospital, does this help? Or do I have to wait to use something. What kind should I buy. Anyone have suggestions on what they use or will use and did it help?

Most hospitals provide but I ended up buying my own and loving it more. I tried the hospital one on the first day, it was uncomfortable. I got one with a zipper to help close and loved it! I felt way more secure to walk and get up when I had it on. Here's a pic :)

Nope don't use anything tight you want it to air out and heal. Think of it as a cut on your finger when you put a bandaid on it , it gets wet and takes forever to heal if you let it air out it scabs up and heals. Wear your maternity pants/shorts until your dr takes out the staples or stitches. And gives you the it's healed and okay. (:

I used the girdle they gave me at the hospital since it didn't go over my incision. I used it for about a week or so until I got an allergic reaction from it then I had no other choice but to squeeze into a girdle because I felt weird without anything everytime I got up. I had my staples removed on Tuesday and was wearing the girdle and still am now. They said my incision looked fine and just to keep an eye on it for any signs of infection. So I'd say wait to use the girdle once you're home. I regret not using one for my 2nd csection. This was my 3rd 😊 Good luck!
